Tuning the Fox
Es gibt doch immer wieder ein paar kluge Leute, die selbst in der besten Software noch Dinge finden, die man verbessern kann. Wobei es ja eigentlich sogar schon eingebaut ist. Wir sprechen hier von Pipelining. Wie in der FAQ nachzulesen, schickt dies die Requests an den Server nicht hintereinander und wartet jedesmal auf die Antwort, sondern schickt zuerst alle Requests und verarbeitet danach die Antworten, wie sie eintreffen. Das hat zur Folge, dass Webseiten einfach schneller geladen werden.
Und wie macht man das jetzt mit Firefox?
Ganz einfach: Man “surft” zuerst auf about:config und sucht sich dort folgende Werte:
- network.http.pipelining: false -> true
- network.http.proxy.pipelining: false -> true
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequest: 30
So, den Fuchs (oder Panda?) neu starten und ab geht’s in den Geschwindigkeitsrausch (dementsprechende Verbindung vorrausgesetzt).

Well, pipelining works great but the risks are much worth it if you are willing to take the chance to try it. Its kind of hard to read your stuff because I dont understand.
Well, I’m sorry but I decided to blog in German (at least most of the time). Although English would be the better language because then there would be more readers (I hope so).
If you blog in English you have a broader range of prospective readers. But I think its fair enough to write in your own language because nobody could tell you not to do so.
Fair it is, but every blogger wants to reach as much people as possible. I have to think about that, again.
Post it in English and use MTMacro to automatically generate GoogleTranslate links for other languages :)
Actually not a bad idea, but I’m not convinced that GoogleTranslate is good enough to keep the statement of the text. Can remember some translations of my old site… Really bad.
Post it in both languages then and write a php script that senses the User’s language and puts out only “his” version then…
Well, then I won’t blog anymore because it simply would be too much work.
Haha, well, thats another solution.
